  • Life at College

At HP6 we consider it essential that all students leave our Sixth Form not only with excellent results but also as well rounded citizens who can contribute fully to society and the local community. Students are encouraged and supported to volunteer and take responsibility. We have good links with local primary schools and actively encourage students to get involved, perhaps as a teaching assistant in lessons, a peer tutor, reading mentor or EAL assistant, across both campuses.

We live in a highly competitive climate where academic achievement no longer guarantees success. We encourage learners to find a passion, a flair, an interest that will make them stand out from their peers.

Students can get involved with the various extra curricular activities on offer, including Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. The highlight of the sporting year is the annual charity football match where staff take on the Sixth Form students.

We offer our students opportunities in leadership through mentoring KS3 students, as well as an active student council that organises social events such as charity events, bake sales and the end of year summer event.
