Thursday 4th November 2021
Our Sixth Form open evening takes place on the Valley Campus and is an opportunity for students to come and see the facilities available. Subject staff will be on hand to talk to students and parents/carers about courses and what is the right course for you. There will be a talk from the Head of Sixth Form at 6.30pm, who will explain everything you need to know about Hove Park Sixth Form and why it is the Sixth Form for you. You can also find out about the exciting courses on offer and all of the additional opportunities which will make you ready for whatever your next steps are.
How to apply
Once you have been to our Open Evening and spoken to course leaders you then need to decide on the 3 (or 4) courses which are right for you. Once you have decided, go to our website and fill in an application form. Alternatively you can fill in the form given to you at Open Evening and send it back to us:

The deadline for handing in application forms is Friday 10th December 2021. We will accept late application forms but cannot guarantee to schedule to meet with you in the first round of interviews.
You can expect to hear from us at the beginning of January when we have scheduled an interview to meet with you.
Interview Preparation
Once you have the date and time of your interview make sure you put a reminder in your phone or an entry in your calendar for the day before. You also need to let your school/college attendance officer know that you need time out of lessons to attend your interview. If you have not heard from us by the beginning of February then please call us on 01273 082870 to find out more information.
On the day of your interview, please bring with you your latest school or college report with your subject predicted grades/exam results and mock exam results. Please also make sure you bring a copy of your current attendance. We also need to see proof of identification, if you are not on roll at Hove Park School, so please bring your passport or other photo form of identification.
Be prepared to talk about your studies, subjects and why you have chosen the subjects you have during your interview.
Accepting your place
Upon successful interview, you will receive an offer letter with the conditions you need to meet to guarantee your place. At the bottom of the letter will be a reply slip with two options:
1- You can accept your place with us, meaning you are confirming you will be joining us in September as your first choice college;
OR
2- You can provisionally accept your place, meaning we will hold a place for you as you are considering other college places.
What's more, if you confirm we are your first choice college then we will guarentee a place for you in September.
Remember to send back your reply slip to confirm your option!
